Lord Of Chilly Nipples: The Two Towers

First impressions: great, although very choppy in the beginning. However, I can’t think of any way to rectify this without having the movie be about 5 hours. Although some things could have been thrown out to remedy this a bit, it was a good flick. But Goddamn it, wasn’t Ungoliant at the end of the book? They kinda cut the sucker off a bit short, which I hope leaves enough room for everything in Return Of The King. But I know it won’t, so I may as well prepare myself for disappointment now. Although I should be thankful that we’ve got such great films to accompany the books. At least Peter Jackson is living up to most people’s expectations, rather than shitting on a beloved franchise. Speaking of which, I think I’ll watch Star Wars: Episode II tomorrow to remind myself of how good we’ve got it.

  1. Thanks for leaving a brotha in the lurchSure, sure take your honey to a midnight showing of a fantastic film, but do you even INVITE your only black hetero life partner??? Noooooooooo you sir, are a cad! Well then again, you did put my mug on Christmas cards….okay, all is forgiven. Let us celebrate our renewed friendship with all the unclothed women our poor eyes can oogle!

  2. I’m a geekActually, Ungoliant wasn’t in Two Towers at all, except for one mention of her name. The thing in spider form was Shelob, Ungoliant’s last child. Ungoliant, if you read the Silmarillion, ate herself, out of always wanting satiation.

  3. um yeahI liked it, great movie… these people who waite4d in like for 8 hours (we waited for 2) sat right next to us in the theatre… heh, suckers.

  4. You may be a geek, but you’re a correct geek.Yup, Shelob is the one they encounter, while Ungoliant is the one who bore Shelob, and did eat herself before any event in the Fellowship. And yes, we’ll get to see that in the Return of the King.

  5. Episode 2i remember what a hard-on all the critics had for SWE2 when it came out but now all they compare it to is an intergalactic harlequin romance novel.speaking of movies, is anyone pumped to see Gangs of NY?

  6. ShelobYeah, shelob was at the end of the book, but like a third of \”Return of the King\” is appendices, so this movie is a bit off on the timing because of that I think.Great movie. I’m going to see it many, many times.
