Now this is anime! Lots of action, sex, monsters, and a cool story. Taki is a member of the Black Guard. It is their job to protect earth from creatures from the Dark World, an alternate dimension, who can look human. Earth and the Dark World have a peace agreement which keeps denizens from each dimension on their own side, which has to be renewed every 500 years. Kenjiro is assigned to protech Giusipe Mayart, a dirty old man who is the key to the peace accords. He is teamed up with Makie a female Black Guard from the Dark World, who works on earth as a fashion model. Rebels from the Black World, including one of Makie's old boyfriends, will do anything to come over and kill Mayart, stopping the peace accords.

This is one anime that is not for kids. It been said that only the good storyline keeps Wicked City from being Hentai (porn anime). The first time you see a woman turn into a spider and her crotch into a mount filled with sharp teeth you known Disney is not going to be bringing this one to the mass market.

Of an interesting note, there is also a surreal live action movie based on the anime done in classic Hong Kong style.
